We have a '92 with 13B floor plan. OK this does not exist except maybe this one time. It is the same as the 11B. We have 40 gallon fresh, 31 gallon grey and guessing about 20 gallon black. And 30 pound (7 gallon) propane. Can't believe they used to run the generator off this tank. Would like to know capacities of your tanks. If we keep the Barth, I am thinking of installing larger tanks. '92 Barth Breakaway - 30' 5.9 Cummins (6B) 300+ HP 2000 Allison Front entrance

Gary, did you check out thge Monarch spec sheet that Bill posted. A HUGE difference in tank sizes. My old 81 Euro gasser has mostly bigger tanks than you. 55 gallon fresh 40 gallon combo waste , and about 60 lb lp. These are guesstimates, but pretty close. 79 Barth Classic

Gary, Barth I (1993 30') was upgraded from the factory to have a 80 gal fuel tank, 50 gal water tank, 40 gal LP tank. The standard holding tanks were used, which was 66 gal total. I do not know the exact size of each one, but I think it was like 26 black and 40 grey. Barth II (1993 33') has a 80 gal fuel, 50 gal water, 45 gal LP and the same holding tanks. 9303 3855 33BS 1B Bruce & Kathleen 1993 33' Front Entrance Breakaway 230HP Cummins 5.9, Allison 6 speed, Spartan Chassis, Nicely Optioned

My grey tank is stamped 40 gallon, 33gallon imp, but measures 32X32X7 and divide by 231 eq 31 gallon. Talk about quality control or lack thereof. '92 Barth Breakaway - 30' 5.9 Cummins (6B) 300+ HP 2000 Allison Front entrance

For real Rusty? Do you mean 140??? I know you get good mileage, but that's a real inconvenience if so small. At least the genny isn't suckin off it too. For reasons unknown, mine has only a 40 gal tank. With original drivetrain, I got about 9.1 mpg. With the new engne, tranny, and TC, around 11.8, so it's good for about a day's cruise. The small diesel tank was fortuitous, as it gave me room for the genset tank. At least you don't get the sticker shock I do at the pump. Mine is 300 gals!! But, I can probably get away with filling it twice a year and could get to, say, Phoenix, Az from Spring Hill, Fl on a tank. I won't swear by it, but I believe those were the facts and figures for the 1993 model year, particularly being printed in July of 1992. The Breakaway brochure from 1992 does not show the 33' as an option. And the tank sizes from that brochure show a 44 gal water, 60 gal fuel, 25 gal LP and 66 gal combo holding tanks. Oh yea, and the pricing was $108,300 for a 28' and $113,300-$113,700 for a 30'. This was printed in 8/91. Wow, 12% price increase in one year... 9303 3855 33BS 1B Bruce & Kathleen 1993 33' Front Entrance Breakaway 230HP Cummins 5.9, Allison 6 speed, Spartan Chassis, Nicely Optioned

On my '94 Breakaway I have: GVWR 20,000# 60 Gal fuel 44 gal LP 26 gal black---way to small 40 gal gray---OK 50 gal fresh water---marginal 100 amp alternator--original---now 200 amp, (160 amp @ idle) The black tank receives the sink water from the lav so I use the kitchen sink for most of the washing. We are generally good for 3-4 days dry camping but the 4th day is very marginal. The black tank is the first to go and then we run out of fresh water. Would love to have a diesel generator and reduce the need for all that propane, but, since tuning and working with the propane Dometic 7 KW generator, it is very smooth and surprisingly quiet. I would only consider a "quiet diesel" now. Ed 94 30' Breakaway #3864 30-BS-6B side entry New Cummins 5.9L, 375+ HP Allison 6 speed Spartan chassis K9DVC Tankless water heater

The '92 price list is odd. The GVW for the 28' Breakaway is 16,000 lbs., not 18K. My '94 prototype's chassis is 2/92, and it was completed 4/93, so it would have been being built when that list was printed. 28s then had the GM 6.5L TD (190 HP) and the GM 4L80E transmission. The actual sales price was just under $116K. You're right, the other 28 Breakaway's showed the 16k too. Probably a typo on that sheet up there. What I find interesting is the "Overall Length" of the coaches. 28' is 28' 4" 30' is 30' 7" 33' is 33' 10" Was that measurement done with or without the bumper length included? Probably, as the overall length is just that - overall length. I've noticed that Rusty's bumper seems to stick in closer and when I saw Bruce and Kathleen's Breakaway the bumper stuck out a little farther.
