Danny ZAwning fabric
Ordered the new vinyl for the A&E awning today. PPL in Texas has the universal replacement from Carefree on sale. 18' length for $187. Added on a couple step covers to bring it over $200 and got free shipping. Original replacement was $501. CampersWorld universal replacement $239 plus $67 shipping. I'll post how installation goes.

Danny ZI got an Email from PPL yesterday at 11 am to tell me they shipped. Today at 1 pm Fed Ex delivered, less than 40 hours from order to delivery [free]. Got the step wraps installed- easy- and now I'm going to check out the awning.

Danny ZNot being one to rush into things, I'm finally geting around to installing the fabric today. My buddy spent many years as an RV tech and is coming over to help. I'll let you know how it goes.

Danny ZGot er done! Beat the rain with help from Doug and the Worm Bros. Looks good and works fine. Not an easy job though. I'll get a pic or 2 but you all know what an awning looks like.

Moonbeam-ExpressGreat job Danny. Is it as windy in Venice as up here in Spring Hill?
I remember fondly getting a ton of help mounting my awning on my trailer at the New England Barth gathering. Like you said, it's a job.

Danny ZNot too windy this AM, nothing like Daytona at least. The rain lasted about a minute. Too bad, we need it. I wouldn't want to try that install at a GTG, not sure I could get the rail inside the coach when something went wrong! And there's a LOT that can go wrong.

Danny ZThis is right after the install. After a little stretching and adjusting the wrinkles came out and it's nice and smooth now. A bit of a dip through the middle that I can't seem to get out, so I may try a support spar if I think I need it after everything settles. Real happy with it.
