You can tell it is the 4th of July in NH by the fact that the sun is shining.
When we lived there we used to joke that NH had three seasons ... fall, winter and the 4th of July.
Can I assume that it wasn't your wife who took the picture?

I don't recall who took the shot, but I was right in front of my house, so I was probably taunting my wife. Something like " you can keep the house, send the title to the Vette, been great...." Could-a brought a whole new meaning to "Independence Day".

Just kiddin! Cheri knows I wouldn't trade her in as there are no better models out there. Besides, how many blood pressure increasing hobbies can one guy have....and don't mention Heff!!! nono

I say Fall, Winter, Black Fly Season, Mosquito Season, Fall,...

An amazing revelation since coming to the mid, west coast of Florida - I've hardly ever seen a mosquito, never seen a black fly, never seen a green-headed horse fly, hardly ever even a house fly. I've been sweltering hot in NH with no place to hide, Florida there's a million air conditioned oasis's. But then there's Fall, Ahhhhhhh the smell of those leaves, the million colors of nature, that is worth the price of admission all by itself. Cool

WOW! An amazing revelation, indeed. I can't think of Florida without recalling bug bites.

We have spent some time in the Bradenton/Palmetto/Ellenton area, and the skeeters are so bad there that everyone kept a spray can of OFF! at each door. And the grass was full of bugs that would crawl up your legs and chew. And the armadillos tore up the lawn nightly eating them. Lots of folks had their whole back yard totally enclosed with a screen enclosure. Pool and all.

I never got used to gators walking around, but the skeeters actually bothered me more. And palmetto bugs always unnerved me. Un-squashable bug just ain't right.

Also got chewed up by sand fleas and bugs at Homestead AFB. We slept on the ground in pup tents during the buildup to invade Cuba.

Amazing how a topic drifts from foggy windows to bug bites !

I spoke to Jeff @ suncoast designs this morning. They charge a flat-rate of $150 to fix a foggy winderr, unless it needs new glass which would be $$$$ A deal IMHO

I spoke with them today too. Have an appointment for next Thursday. Even though they are only about 8 miles from me, we're taking the Barth over and using their overnight campground just so we can report to the gang what it's like. 50 amp hook ups, water, dump station and internet all part of the service. Now that's hospitality.

I sure hope they don't have skeeters down there!!

Make sure you tell em where they got their information from. Also, if they wish to expand on what they offer I would be willing to give them a sounding board here.

Yes, I already told them about Barthmobile, the Gathering and Billy seeing their billboard. I'll likely have a chance to plug our group further when there. What specifically should I suggest?

Anything and everything. I'm looking for value for our members and great workmanship. Personal recommendations trump all other forms of advertising. If you think they treated you good and the cost/value was fair, etc...

We took our Barth to Suncoast Designs and had the foggy driver's glass repaired. The cost was $214 with tax, it is $150 if you remove and send to them.

I expected a small operation that did a few RVs a week so I was surprised that there were 11 RVs there being worked on. Some were having all the glass redone in the entire coach.

There were rigs from Canada, Washington State, Cali, all over. RVTV had a coach there and had filmed for a show. Our neighbor from Ottawa said he had driven from Ottawa just to have his glass done. His coach had flush glass that was very difficult to remove.

They were able to do our one window same day, but there are no promises, just luck of timing as they have several runs a day thought the oven with batches. If you need to stay, there are decent accommodations with electric, water, and a dump station. All free!

Here are some shots of the job:
Here are some facility shots: And some of the rigs: The flush glass: Notice how the Thermopane is staggered to get two paned to be flush and seal.

I give the job an A for speed, B+ for price, A for friendliness, and C for actual job as they skun up my black aluminum being careless with an electric screwdriver. All in all, I'm happy.

This is RV TV's rig:
