Bill, you are a God-send. I still am not certain what chassis I have, other it is Spartan. The electrical schematic on the warning system is identical to mine. It will go a long way in helping me trouble-shoot if I still have the problem after topping off all fluids and going on a short jaunt.

The "MOD Probe" is the line from the sound generator to the low coolant switch. Unlike the other warning lights/buzzers the low coolant doesn't connect to the low coolant light directly. The light is feed from the Sound Generator.

Thanks for posting this manual. By the way, how do I determine what chassis I do have?

The chassis listed is for a Breakaway. If you contact Spartan and ask, they'll send you these PDFs via email. The member who sent this to me, got these from Spartan just for the asking.

Here is a list of most of the Chassis found in a Barth. Missing from this list is the Mopar Powered Units.

THIS MORNING I SCANNED IN THE ENTIRE OSHKOSH M-LINE TRAINING MANUAL. I ALSO FOUND THE DD 8.2 L "FUEL PINCHER" SERVICE MANUAL AND THE FORD MOTORHOME CHASSI SERVICE GUIDE FROM 1994 THAT I WILL SCAN AND GET TO YOU.

Great stuff, but it ended up confusing the heck out of me as my VIN didn't seem to match up on the Engine Line section of the chassis type.

I called Spartan and they have great customer service! I spoke with Charlie, who knew what a Barth was and he explained I have an IC chassis which is identical to the Mountain Master in all functional ways. He went on to say I have a 300HP C-8.3 with a 38,001-46,000 GVWR. 9000 Front, 17,000 rear. Towing up to 5,000, but hitch dependent.

I had him check recalls, and there are none and never were any on my chassis.

Excellent customer service.

He said anyone from Barthmobile are welcome to call them for this info if they have a Spartan chassis.

I agree with BillyT. The folks at Spartan are extremely helpful ... and if you have an Allison transmission they can transfer you directly to Allison without having to re-dial. I was very impressed. Allison is also very helpful for tranny issues.
I look forward to seeing the Spartan Chassis Manual.

If you have a need to call Gillig at the Parts Department ask for Rick Dominguez. He knows the Barth and has been very helpful in my orders and updates. From time to time he also was authorized to reduce prices of some older parts, and they matched then VIN perfectly. They only need the last four digits of your Vin to find the vehicle.
