Did the cost go up?

(1) Age discount.--[The Secretary] (A) The Secretary
shall make the National Parks and Federal Recreational
Lands Pass available[, at a cost of $10.00,] to any
United States citizen or person domiciled in the United
States who is 62 years of age or older, if the citizen
or person provides adequate proof of such age and such
citizenship or residency. The National Parks and
Federal Recreational Lands Pass made available under
this subsection [shall be valid for the lifetime of the
pass holder.] shall be available--
(i) for a period of 12 months from the date
of the issuance, at a cost of $20; and
(ii) for the lifetime of the passholder, at a
cost equal to the cost of the National Parks
and Federal Recreational Lands Pass purchased
under subsection (a).

We had a couple of full-timers come in last week for services. They told Helen about the pass and the impending increase. I immediately went online and ordered mine, had it in the mail in just a few days.

I know I'm old, maybe dense. I have had a card for about four years or more. Do I have to buy a new one for $20.00? Will my current $10.00 card become null & void? ........Carl

No Carl if you still have the old pass, it is still good. Mine was broke in half was the reason I replaces it. Hope you and Betty are doing well. Happy New Year.

Senior Pass

Mine began to split several years ago. I presented it at the entrance and asked if they would replace it and was told it would be replaced when in two parts. It has not fully split so I may put duct tape on the face side to hold it together and tell anyone inquiring that I got it reissued in Illinois.

I was told that they don't replace them, that you have to buy a new one? I dunno, I will keep mine in a drawer in The Barth, it should last a while that way.
