What items are your FAVORITE to have on board? May be more than one item, but since Sharon and I are really new to RV-ing we would be interested in your thoughts. I heard a lady say she can't live without her FOLD-UP hamper, FOLD-UP shoe rack, ELECTRIC TEA POT, and her ELECTRIC SKILLET. I like are collection of Steak n Shake old dishes, and of course SHARON FERN. She hates her middle name. hehehe Let's hear yours. Dale and Sharon

In a more serious vein, spare radiator hoses and fan belts. I have had to replace alternator regulator and ignition coil on the road, too. They are cheap and small.

Along bill's line, a complete and comprehensive set of tools that fit in a good small case. Craftsman has some beauties but you can save a few bucks at an auto parts store if you know what to look for. If you go real cheap that's what you'll get! ------------------ Dan & Suzy Z '81 Euro 28 [This message has been edited by Danny Zeeff (edited July 11, 2005).]

There's a ton of stuff and the coffee bean grinder is one of my biggees, but the cell phone is #1. If all else fails, I usually can get help that way.

This was too silly to open a new thread with , but has anyone tried to buy a fly swatter lately. Home Depot has every known modern appliance conceivable for fly and insect control, but no fly swatters! Ya gotta have a fly swatter in the coach!! ------------------ Dan & Suzy Z '81 Euro 28

Having been in the hardware business for 38 years I can ASSURE you that they are available at a NEIGHBORHOOD hardware near you. Don't try the BIG box stores. A lot of the merchandise the box stores carry is NOT what you want, but WHAT they want you to buy. Now I am NOT saying that this is totally wrong, but really true when it comes to speciality ltems. Try to buy a SINGLE mouse trap as an example. I shop a couple box stores, but have found a NUTS and BOLTS store that I really like. We know each other by name, and they really give the SERVICE. Dan and Suzi: Did you try Wal-Mart for the fly swatter? I hate that store -- I go in to pick up one item, come out with a basket full of stuff. Of course, it's all stuff I really do need. Their younger staff leaves much to be desired, though. One time I bought a dress pattern; the cashier didn't know what it was. I had to explain to her was a dress pattern was. Add to must-haves to sustain life anywhere: flashlight, clock radio, electric pot to boil water, tea bags, Blistex, and a big bottle of Excedrin.

Recently a fellow camper had a 2 stroke gas powered blender. Not in mine yet, but talk about fast daquries and margeritas.

Gee, I wonder if I can use my Stihl auger post hole digger?

I like mine shaken, not stirred so I'm looking for a 50 ton vibratory roller to mix mine. ------------------ http://www.truckroadservice.com/

Hey Bill, that 99 Georgie Boy I rode in a while back would have been perfect for your martinis! ------------------ Dan & Suzy Z '81 Euro 28

We boated and water-skiied with a family that had one of those. Worked fine, but horribly noisy, and had to be held down strongly. Can only be used outdoors. It also tends to draw rifle fire at night.
