We were introduced to this game by our Michigan gang that meets us at the track campground every year. Rather than try to explain it I found a link to buy it,

My friends had theirs made of 1-1/2 inch pvc. By assembling it with T's and L's without glue, you can take it apart and fit it in a very small place. The golf balls are drilled and connected with a small diameter soft line, with the balls 16 inches apart. The ladder rungs are also 16 " apart, starting 16" off the ground.
Our rules were; Top rung 1 pt, middle rung 2 pts, bottom rung 3 pts, each player gets 3 bolas and throw 1 at a time. 2 players on same rung cancel each other out. All other on rungs score for both players. Game is 21, BUT, if you go over you automatically go back to 15. This really keeps the game interesting. We had 2 ladders set about 35 feet apart, so we could play teams ala horseshoes. It's really a fun game that anyone can play anywhere, without smacking horseshoes or Bocce balls into someones Newell.

Danny,
I've seen that game before but never played. It looks challenging. I enjoyed your visit in Talladega.
