After lurking around this site for a couple of years now we have finally bought a Barth. It is the 1993 33' Breakaway that Rod & Lavee DeGarlais have owned since 2004. We drove down to Yuma and picked it up this weekend and are now back in Central New Mexico and learning the ins and outs of the coach.

The 5.9 Cummins is strong and the Allison 6 speed is a wonderful transmission--Love it so far!!

It seems to be a great unit and I think it was a fair deal for both parties involved. I'm sure we will find that we need some parts, etc and will surely ask around here for them.

Thanks for maintaining this site.

Don

Congratulations Cantrade, the GTG in Milford is the perfect opportunity to show off your Barth Smiler and would make the perfect "Shakedown Cruise". Tooling Along Hope you can make the trip and see a bunch of Barth's and have a lot of fun! Thumbs Up

Thanks for all of the great replies.

We are spending time learning about the ins and outs of the unit and have found that things seem to work and be in good shape considering their age.

Our plans currently do not include a trip to IN. I'm still working and that gets in the way of doing fun things. We will take a look at later GTG events.
