There is a lot of good info in this article. I think my best investment of time and money was the driver course at Lazy Days in Tampa. You learn about things like tail swing, how to mark your windshield to know where you are in relation to the area you can not see below, etc. I sure put a lot of it to use when driving from CA to MI last May. But, I was still not mentally prepared for the mountains, bad interstate roads and cross winds in the open areas. Very tiring.
I will say things that used to bother me no longer do when driving an RV after that.

"Watch the swing of the car" posted very predominately on the trolly cars in my home town when I was a kid.
I saw my brother punt a midsized sedan up on the sidewalk with his 30+ ft. Pace Arrow in a thighter that presumed turning area. Humorous to watch but rather expensive.
