Moved Reply: Tampa Spring (f/k/a Tampa Brake & Spring) in Ocala, FL is excellent - they did the replacement of the spring bushings on my coach. For trannies in the SE, there's Sun Coast Converters (for uprating) and the affiliated Webb's Transmissions in Ft. Walton Beach. Near High Springs, FL is Chris Hunter; his availability is spotty, because he does major work on paper mills. Moved Reply: Rusty, when they replaced the spring bushings, did they replace something I have heard called 'spring pins'? Would you mind sharing the cost. PM me if you need to. Is there a front end shop, i.e., king pins, tie rod ends, ball joints, steering boxes etc that you have used? Thanks Jim

Moved Reply: The bushings were ordered from Spartan: two types, spring bushings (8) and shackle bushings (2), ~$65 IIRC. Installation was ~$750, including fabricating 8 new u-bolts. Spring pins connect the spring to the mounts and shackles; they shouldn't need replacing with the rubber bushings. Nash RV Services in Athens Ga just replaced my Springs and shocks. Blake and Jerry Nash are very good. They are busy so call ahead. There salesman at the previous Truck parts business had a Barth as his traveling office. Blake 706-614-5256 Jerry 706-540-1800 Hank Joiner 1997 25 ft. regal | |||
