Hi - I'm a newbie Roll Eyes
I'm looking for info on the differences in the different models of Barths. Since I'm looking for 28-30' I guess that is either Breakaway or Regal.
Any help or direction would be appreciated.
Thanks - Ric

Wow, that's a tricky question, I think. I know of Regal, Regency, Breakaway, Monarch, Regis, Royale, Euro and others.

Barth coaches vary in model name from the original class A no names (70's) then Regal/Regency/MCC/Euro in the 80's to "new" names in the 90's (there seems to be some overlap in the 90's)

Within each model there is considerable variation, i.e. Regals were on Chev chassis, some with tags (SE) or Ford/Oshkosh chassis. A few are diesel pullers and maybe even a diesel pusher? The list goes on. Each Barth coach seems a little different from all others.

Search through the archives for numerous discussions, some point out the numerous exceptions to any "rule of Barth" we can state. The variations are almost endless.

Love that avatar, I want a VW bus for a toad. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I think first choice to be made is gas or diesel.

My own take is that the more miles you drive, the more sense a diesel makes.

Most gassers were on a Chevy P30 chassis, and would have a 454 engine in the 28-30 ft range. There were some Fords, as well.

The 28 ft with rear bath and a walk-through bedroom with twin beds was popular, so there are a lot around. So, if you are considering a 28 ft gasser, you need to decide what floor plan you like and what you don't.

First off it's gotta be diesel. Early 90's. From what I've seen on site, I like the darker Honey colored cabinetry or cherry. Slowly narrowing down the search parameters. Floor plan is open.
Can't wait for that first road trip. Tooling Along

I've always loved the old Splittys. I've owned a few. It's where I started RV'in. ROTFLMAO
They still make me smile every time I see one.

I'm thinking a classic bug as my tow'ed.
