Times have changed a lot since the site opened about 20 yrs ago, including how this site is used.

We used to have free and easy photo posting until Photobucket went rogue and decided to charge for their "free" service. They hijacked our pictures and still charge us to see them. We have few options for photos now.

When I came on board in 2011, there was some activity in the chat room, but it was already in decline at that time. We have lost active site members, some sold their coaches, some are gone for health reasons. Two of the regular users were Mary Ray and Nick Cagle. Sadly, both have passed on. I guess people today do not have the time to sit and chat in their busy lives.

Bill NY used to be able to find competent reliable people to work with him. He spent time on the site on a regular basis. For several years now he has been buried in overload at work with little help. Bill has not spent time on the site for a while now. This site is becoming antiquated compared to most but Bill has chosen to keep it simple and affordable with no ads, etc. I am just grateful that Bill has kept the site running. I wouldn't blame him if he shut it down but I would hate to see it go. This is why Ed and I picked up with the daily chores when Bill h and Rusty left.

As we and our coaches continue to age, it appears that society is less interested in custodial extended projects or documentaion and discussion of them. I am grateful for those who still remain with us. With any luck it will be here for a while. java

Great point Steve, lifestyles change, however Barth's do not. My hope this site continues to be alive, well and a great source of Barth information. There are a lot of Barth owners and enthusiastic wannabes out there. Wish a few more would take an active role on the site!

Agreed, I am not actively involved with the site but if someone needs help I try to assist.

It’s great to have you two monitoring the day to day and keeping it going, it’s a treasure trove of information.

I am pretty young Barth owner (sub 30 years old), perhaps even one of the youngest maybe? It seems people unfortunately gravitate towards Facebook these days. In all of my hobbies (and there are many), I have always preferred dedicated online forums like this found, and found that the knowledge base is typically far more talented and mature. I'd love to do anything I can to keep this site active, and perhaps I can do my part in "carrying the torch" so to speak.

I haven't posted much, but I have learned so much from browsing here for hours. I have a pretty busy lifestyle, so any time I work on my coach I find it hard to also take the take to contribute here with photos and writeups, but I'd love to change that.
