1981 MCC Barth 36' diesel pusher
I have an opportunity to purchase a 1981 36' refurbished fiberglass MCC Barth coach. It has a rebuilt ('98) Detroit 8.2 diesel turbo engine (300 approx hp; 600 lbs torque) with a rebuilt Allison 643 4speed w.lock-up converters transmission. Cosmeticly near perfect, after extensive refurbishing.
Any opinions, experiences with this Barth coach?? All are welcome, Don

Hi Don, Welcome. After reading your post I decided to try the search for myself and typed in MCC. There should be enough stuff in there to answer any questions and if not, there's a bunch of guys here who will. Just click on search at the top of the page, then type in MCC.

Broadcast,Don; I have an 82 Barth MCC with an 8.2T DD. How much research did you do on the 300HP? If you would, please share your findings as to how the guy performed the magic of breathing 50 percent more life into this engine. I read his offer on ebay and evidently the engine is going to live as he had put a fair amount of mileage on the coach since his rebuild. Thanks, rigajake

A person who is mechanically inclined and does not get bugged easily can really have a wonderful result with these MCC coaches. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

But hey, Barth stayed ahead of their time, (if you don't count slideouts.)

Every MCC coach owner I have talked to says that there is no better riding coach.
