Came across another Barth in my CC RV storage yard..amazing.. he was trying to figure out which bank of batteries was for the chassis and which for the house.. one big batt vs 2 smaller ones..He wanted to stick a tender on the chassis side.. Cummins on a Spartan Chassis.. here's the pic.. his handle on BM.com is SoCal Barth.. M/C-W 1991 early XL-style (maybe 1 of 2?) Breakaway... but prior to that actual (XL) designation... 2nd Breakaway w/Cat 3208T 250 hp motor 4 spd MT643 Allison trans Gilig Air suspension chassis/brakes Data Tag: 9010 3694 34-BG-1B

Most likely the two smaller group 31 batteries are the engine starting batteries. I would trace the cables or disconnect one side at a time to see what it powers. Harold Cat Sam Miniature Schnauzer 3.8.2009 - 9.24.2021 93 30ft Breakaway 9209-3823-30BS-11B KE5WCW

I would second that motion. The cables on the two 31s are made with inline connections for parallel use. Large gauge and just like the starter cables on my 31s. Several smaller cables on the 8D, probably the coach battery. 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp

Wow, Looks like at least 3 battery cables connect to the 8d positive post and also a knife disconnect switch on that post. Guess he didn't want to put it out there in the open on the negative post. That battery also looks a little narrow to be an 8D wonder if it is 6D or 4D. Would be very unusual but it just looks narrow to me. Nick

The large fuse would also be a give away of the house batteries. I can’t see where the wires go but that would not be on the starting batteries.
