Timothy, You should be able to find out exactly what your engine is by looking up the casting number. I think the number will be preceded with an R if it is a remanufactured block. Here is a web site that should help: http://www.mortec.com/location.htm

Wow, 2 Quarts per 300 mi. sounds like what some of my dump truck driver buddys get, but then you have a pretty old coach. After we get the Euro out on some real road trips we'll give a report on oil and gas consumption.
