Tow ratings

I am still doing research on a Regal of say 28 ft. with the 454. Would like nothing older than 1985. Are the trailer hitches rated @ 5000 lbs.? What is the tow rating of the unit? Is it also 5000 lbs. I found a copy of the Barth brochure but it does not mention GVW or carrying capacities nor tow ratings

Thanks

There is no standard hitch on Barths. You will have to check. Each coach might be different. My coach only allow for only about 4000 lb before I reach my GCW. I guessing a 28' might be light enough to allow 5000 lb to be towed with proper hitch. Here is a link to p3x GCW. here The GVW on the mid 80s Chevy chassis is 14,500 lb. The GCW is 19,000 lb.

alignment and more The above is an interesting link to trying to decipher GVW and GCVW. Also some good alignment info. Do the 85/86 Regals have 4 wheel disc brakes? Or is that only when Workhorse took over?

The Chassis with 19.5" wheels have 4 wheel disk. Not sure what year they went from cable operated drive shaft to the electric operated. I think around 1990.
