So, to continue the story, I registered my coach with VIN on title in GA as co-owner with my son who lives there and the coach now lives there too. I had a pad poured, cover placed over it, power pole, water, etc. Couple of bucks and ready go.

Since the time I purchased it, I have been doing research. I found that this coach has had the wrong VIN most likely since it was built as it is one build number ahead of the coach with the same VIN. My salvation in all of this is that metal tag riveted to the LF frame. I retrieved the forms from GA DMV website. Had a deputy sheriff come out to read and verify actual VIN and complete one of the documents required by GA. I did a Carfax and one other report to confirm that both coaches have been registere and renewed using same VIN for a long time. The correct VIN does not show up in any data base. I wrote Gillig and they confirmed my VIN and engine serial number (which helped when getting parts). The combination of the CARFAX, documentation from this website, pictures of both, etc resulted in about 1/4 inch of paper along with the state forms. So, the local county DMV was impressed with the documentation and sent it off to the State office in Atlanta. With Barth out of business and the actual PO (title wise) deceased, I hope I got it all.

I had overheard someone at the Goshen GTG talking about their DMV not budging on using the Gillig or Spartan date of mfg as the title date as opposed to the date the Statement of Orgin was created. In my case I do not care if they call it a 93 or 94.
