FYI: "ordered my Toyo's from Simple Tire.. talked to a Kristin Nyce @ 267-314-6737 (direct #) . Great to work with, even checked , for me, re: DOT tire dates, oldest was 11 months and others were newer." According to Kristin, tire size 8R19.5 has been discontinued by all the manufacturers they sell. In fact, none were produced in 2018. The newest Toyo's available have one and one half year old DOT tire dates. I decided to order these Toyo's rather than converting to the corresponding metric size. Six tires totaled $1587 (excluding tax - PA is the only state for which they do charge sales tax . I think you got bad information. Just put two new 8R19.5 on my (Hankook)front. Freightliner is still making new trucks using this size of tire. '92 Barth Breakaway - 30' 5.9 Cummins (6B) 300+ HP 2000 Allison Front entrance | |||

I was interested in Bridgestone's or Toyo's. Both apparently get good reviews here. I am replacing Toyo's with '05 DOT dates - never an issue, and admittedly, reluctant to do so. Amazon is selling the same Toyo for $361 delivered, I paid $264 delivered from Simple Tire. Back on point: I could have misunderstood her. When she said "They are ..." she may only have been referring to Bridgestone and Toyo. Glad to hear the size will be available in 13 years.
