I would like your opinion on what is the best place to start looking for storage of a 28" Barth. Ours was kept inside in dry storage since 1988 and it looks like new (to us). We found a place in the country at $50.00 with 1 day notice to get unit out and they put in in and out, leaving the keys (I have checked them out and no conplaints from anyone of 5 people I talked to) . Is this a plan or do I look more??

Is that $50 a month? If so that would seem a little high, the highest I have seen around here was around $35 a month. But the one day availability sounds like a great opportunity to me. Most of the inside storage places around here are much stricter.

What kind of rules are you talking about? We dont make quick plans as we both still work and a reasonable notice would work for us? JKB

If Holland IL is still mainly agricultural, you may want to check with the county fair office......In MI, the fair-grounds folks charged $150 for Oct 1st - May 1st dead storage, with no "ins & outs" allowed.....Also had to keep vehicle liability insurance in-force while stored.

For $40/mo (mid-90's pricing), you could park your RV in a large, open sided building with an assigned spot, 15 amp service & water availability and come and go as you pleased. It was a secured area, with fencing, lighting & gate pass cards.
(The local U-Stor-It raised a fuss, but the legal beagles said the county fair was a non-gov't, non-profit corporation and therefore was pretty much bullet-proof)

Might be worth a look........
