Some have told me that they have searched for a specific topic that they knew was there and didn't find it. Over the last 4 years we have had a couple minor crashes and some small amount of data may have been lost but I don't think so.

Make sure you are searching in all forums. It will default to the forum you are in. So if you are in the general discussion forum and want to search tech talk, then you have to tell it to do that or it will just search general discussion. If you have any questions let me know.

On thing that is cool is that there are a few forums that or not on the site anymore. It will search those even if they are not on the site.

As an example, my post of March 10, 2004 12:06 PM in 454 Overheating in the archives and tech topics, contains the word "manometer" A search of all open forums and archives does not yield this post.

A search for the word "Klotz", which also appears in the same post, also does not yield a result.
