Greetings All,

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.

I have a few questions on Barth interiors:

1. Were the seats in the "living area" bolted down or free standing. Ours appear to be original equipment and are free standing although the "feet" are drilled for bolt down.
2. Seat belts-only in the front for driver and passenger...in other motor homes we've owned, seat belts were everywhere-sofa/bed, dinette, sitting chairs, etc. So, did Barth do the same? Or, only ordered and/or requested.
3. Did all models come with the water filtration system?

Thanks!!!! Look forward to hearing from you-

Working all weekend, keeping the lights on but it's been quiet so it's a good weekend, thanks.

My Regal has free-standing chairs, no seat belts around them. The sofa-bed does have seatbelts but they are all tucked under and we don't use them. The original carpet has two spots in front of the sofa that look like the optional removable dining table could stand there but we don't have one and probably wouldn't use it anyway. The little pullout table from the drinks cabinet is fine for us.
We don't have water filtration but I'm thinking of adding a filter this summer. Water out of the tap on Vancouver Island is as fresh and pure as possible.

Thank you, Sandytoes-It was our thoughts that these items were standard (ordered) on the Barths.
We get the impression that our Barth was originally ordered to just two people, judging by the features.
On our Barth, there's no evidence of seat belts ever for the sofa or the chairs. Of course, the exploration goes on.
From left over receipts in the coach's paperwork, we discovered two of the previous owners (one was the seller). I plan to take the vin to the DMV and see how many hands the coach has been through. Our hunch is not to many and that the coach never left Indiana.....we'll see. There's probably a surprise in there for us!
Again, thanks!

I had the same situation. A loose swivel chair behind the passenger seat for the drop leaf table
not bolted down.
Not the same material as the sofa but close.
Was wondering if it left the factory like that.

We will never know......I tried to check out photos of other Barths, paying attention to if they were still original, and, so far, it seems that this was standard. As to the different fabric of your chair-it could come out of another Barth...these MHs are a facinating journey.
We just keep looking-the Truth Is Out There...(a little X-Files)

Swivel chairs behind passenger seat bolted down.

Lap belts for two front seats only seat belts installed.

Water filtration with separate faucet at kitchen sink.

Thanks, Tom and Jilene-

All of this offered info is great! This is how we build a good data base on these moving critters.
Our Barth has separate spigot for the water filtration system only it's missing the guts under the counter for the canisters. This is okay because we are going to install a reverse osmosis system. We've had a whole house system for about 18 years or so and love it.
The big question is: the seat belt laws were quasi in place when these MH were built so what was the thinking? A two person limit? Or, ordered that way.
Interesting.

Hey Kevin,

Fantastic-which product did you go with? We have a Premier system on the house.
Hubby has a plan....it is the only way to go.

Hi Kevin,

You couldn't have said it any better!
And, considering how bad water can be in parks and out of a faucet, why take any chances?
Our son is currently housed in our '85 Pace Arrow on a job and got a portable unit that is demand only. Loves it.
Here's what he got: http://www.crystalclearsupply....150_GPD_p/pro-c2.htm
We plan to have the storage tanks and it will be portable with easy-to-replace filters. We also keep handy a spare membrane. Thanks for the ideas-
Do you make your coffee with the RO water? Nothing else like it.
