Anybody ever heard of this outfit? Looks like they built a class c that had a steel tubing cage like the Barth. I know they were originally Champion, sold to Firan and then sold to Forest River. But I'd like to get info on the coach.

I can't give you much in the way of details, but one of the very first motorhomes I looked at was a Firan, IIRC, a 28 with the 454. It looked to be mid-upper grade. I do remember that it was sensibly laid out.

Now, when I went to look at stringmann's '91 28' Breakaway, there was a 30' or 32' Firan getting a new Cummins engine @ around $15,000. If the owner liked that older coach enough to put that kind of money into it, to me, that says something. Of course, what it might say is that the owner was very stupid...Big Grin

Rusty we all bought 12 to 35 year coaches. On other sites (the ones with newer coaches )those people.
say that most of lost our brains any way.some times me think so.I have a had chance to drive it home first thing did was to put on new tires , a new alternator have a foggy side window fixed(I used 1/2 Plexiglas) .put on a new serpentine belt,changed filters and oil..now I will someday get chance to use it .If i ever get it back from Northtrail .They are fixing speedo said be done Friday.Maby next week .
