I am new to the Barth Owners Group. I am going to look at a 1994 Barth 36' with a Tag Axle. It has 57,000 Miles on it with a 502 C.I. engine in it. Looking at the Ad it looks in Excellent Condition. What is a good Price to pay for one? The Brakes have all been Replaced along with the Power Brake Unit, Interior looks great also with Hard Wood Floors. The only Issue the Seller says is that on a Hot Day the Basement Air-Conditioner has trouble keeping it Cool so they use a Portable Unit. Packard

Almost every Barth was different. That, along with many years of different uses and maintenance, makes each one unique. This makes the prices very a great deal. The unit you have described is perhaps just as unique. A 36 ft tag is the longest one we know of. With the 502 it is apparently a GM chassis, ie a Regal. I know of no Regal with basement air. I am interested to see pictures and a data tag for this coach. Perhaps then we could find a reasonable price range. 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp

From looking at the Craiglist add I think it is priced somewhere close. Check tire age as that will add a few Gs to get it on the road. It is the longest GM chassis Barth I have seen. 1986 31' Regal -1976 Class C 454/T400 P30 -350/T400 G30 twin cntr beds - 21' rear bath

That is the longest gm chassis we've seen! (I have a 33 ft tag Regal.) It looks in good shape. Price is probably in the right ballpark. Check roof for leaks but mostly looks good. 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp

I wonder if it's a P30something chassis? There seems to be a lot of basement storage which I didn't think P30s had. Even the John Deere chassis didn't have that kind of storage. Jim

When the tag axles were installed, they stretched the frame using an additional 8 inch extended frame on top of the gm frame. Another reason the tag Regals handle so well, they have a double frame. Not sure how well this extrapolates to a 36 foot frame, though. The floor height of the tag models is higher by 8 inches. By lowering the skirts a bit they could generate the basement storage on a gm frame I think. Interesting coach for sure! 9708-M0037-37MM-01 "98" Monarch 37 Spartan MM, 6 spd Allison Cummins 8.3 325+ hp
