Jim and TereCleaning Wallpaper
Years ago, there was a product that was used to clean walls, either painted or with wallpaper on them. When you bought it, it was like a ball and all you did was rub it on the wall and dirt came off. No water, no cleaning solutions, just this ball thing. You squeezed it once in a while. Hey--it's been a long time. Any help for my memory?

Steve VWI remember some kind of soft pliable stuff (like Play-Doh) that was slightly sticky. You rolled it around and it picked up dirt like a lint roller. After a while you knead it to get it sticky again... Worked great even on old wallpaper.
What WAS that stuff?

I'll ask around.

Jim and TereThe company that made the stuff is Absorene and they still do. Turns out that after they almost went broke in the 30s the Play Dough thing came up and the rest is history. Went out bought some Play Dough and it worked fine. Grease spot and dirt came right off. There wasn't much to do because it was in good shape to begin with.

tom taylorThe Mr Clean Magic Eraser is a good candidate. It also cleans "love bugs" off of the front of vehicles which happen to be out in force in GA and FL right now.

Jim and Teretried the play dough on a couple of other spots. Did not work well. Will try the Mr Clean Magic Eraser

Wayne & LanaUsed dryer sheets will take love bugs off. Been in Florida most of my life and just learned this. Has also taken tar off. I usually put the car wash on first then dunk one or two used dryer sheets in the bucket and wipe away. No elbow grease.

Regal BlueGreetings All,
I did some searching and found this:
https://www.amazon.com/Absoren...ne+wallpaper+cleanerThis is the same material (wallpaper dough); just under a different name but is made by the same company, Asborene.
From the various sites I explored, this is the stuff.
I haven't tried it just yet but plan to. I would love to give the wallpaper a good clean beyond just vacuuming. I'm just too chicken to try anything else for now but still searching.
I'll post my results.
Take care-
