Eric HerrleHi Don;
I'd take it out and carry in to the nearest NAPA and see what happens. AND cross my fingers thats something fits.

davebowersDometic Generator parts are avaialbe from Schwalm and Associates 800-237-4318 which is a dealer who bought out Dometics's US operations. They don't build generators but just offer the spare parts.

davebowersJust got a call from Schwalm. There is no starter available. The Gensets were made for Dometic by Generat and a Japanese Co. he said to fast for me to write down. The Generat is definitely unavailable and the Japanese one maybe but he said you could have yours rebuilt way cheaper.

bill hSometimes a starter just needs a clean and lube. Or just brushes. Or maybe has high mica.
What is it doing or not doing? Got a hot light? Have all connections been cleaned? Is there a good ground cable from the starter to the MH frame?

Eric HerrleIt's a Diahatsu (please excuse the spelling) 3 cylinder engine.
And it looks a lot like this...IF you turn it on it's side that is.

Don ScalzoStopped in Dayton Ohio, and got a solinoid,the tech tried to find the right one from the numbers on the starter, but no luck. They recognized the look and vola I got the starter. I will post the part number when I get back to Fl.. I now have the genset running. Thanks for the offer Dan, I'll get back to you also. Hope you get to camp at Ft. Desoto, and the red tide is gone.
