I just got off the phone with the Circuit of The Americas people, 3 day motorhome parking including 8 general admition tickets and a toad pass is $7,500. ! I asked if they could do fewer tickets and they said no, but they said I would get access to laundry facilities, woop ! he said most are sold out to season option, 3 races for $15,000. crazy.

Yep! We signed up early to get the "pre-public" ticket opportunity. When we logged on to our "special site" we could only choose a few ticket areas and when we tried to check out and pay the site froze and then bombed. At that price we can fly to Singapore and get a hotel and two grandstand tickets. So we are going to Padre Island and have a GTG with our neighbors and watch the race on HD tv. We still get "special" e-mails announcing new ticket availabilty, at ever increasing prices, for tickets that were not available on the first day of sales. So we will wait and see how season two is set up.

Insanity.

They claim it will take 3-4 hours to get to the grandstands *after* you turn into the track parking area.

I only live 60 miles from the Austin F1 track but I will fly to Europe first for that cost.

I have a friend renting out his property and/or house in Bastrop if anyone is interested (relatively close to F1 track)
