Hank has a birthday. Well kinda has a birthday. After owning purebred registered labs for over 30 years, We decided to adopt a rescue pup when we lost our last one. A trip to the adoption agency we spotted Hank and he looked like a pup with a lot of Lab in Him. It was a done deal. Some features give away other breeds in the mix. Feet a little too small, Nose a little too pointed, and few others. I tell him his Mama might have been a Lab, but daddy was a "Traveling Salesman". Back to the point of the birthday. We got him just before Christmas, 2006 and he was 10-12 weeks old, so we decided his birthday would be September 30th. So he is 9 today. He has been a great pet and a traveling partner. Many of you have met him at a GTG from the very first one at Raccoon Mountain in 2007 to about a dozen more from Florida to Washington to Minnesota to Indiana to Louisiana and points in between. He has a great disposition but totally disagrees with all this campground rules about leashes, etc. Like so many of the pets we all own (or do they own us), He sometimes amazes me with his actions. On days when I have Cancer treatments if I feel bad and go to bed when I get home, Hank get on the bed a lays beside me where he can touch me and doesn't move until I get up even if it hours later. Well that's enough rambling about my dog. Nick | ||
