Donna and I lost our first born son Monday November 8, 2021.
I was torn on whether to post the lost on the website but so many of you knew Darryl that I decided it was the thing to do. Darryl was 55 and had suffered for an awful long time. Most of the suffering was due to an accident while on active duty in the Army and on assignment in Central America. The stories we could tell are numerous but I will leave you with only one. Ask Tom Johns or StinkyDaddy what is a "shitpot" full of limes.

Nick, so sorry for your loss, children are to outlive their parents.
Did not know you son or even you very well, however, from your short narrative in his far too short life his accomplishments and service to our country were appreciated. Bless Darryl, Donna and you.

Oh dear, what to say... Frowner

The Cagle family has been one of our greatest treasures from the Barth experience. We have known them for 10 years. We visit them whenever we can, always enjoy our stay.

Darryl was a good fellow, we always enjoyed seeing him. We are glad we were able to visit on the recent run to Florida. When we saw him in the hospital on October 22nd, he had lost weight, but we had a good visit. In retrospect, I am very glad we made the visit when we did. A good man, too young. We will all miss him.

So, Nick and Donna, and to all those who have lost a child, I send my greatest condolences. Having never had children it is impossible for me to imagine losing them and I thank God for that. I cannot imagine a greater loss to a parent, it is just not right when parents bury children...

Cherish the good memories of a shitpot full of limes, I will also. cheers ROTFLMAO

Sorry Nick & Donna I was off the grid at deer camp. I’m not good with death. I do understand your pain. Parents are not intended to out live their children.

I never got to meet Darryl. If he was half as awesome as you two I wish I had.

You have Lynn and my prayers.

I called Nick to express my condolences personally to the Cagles. During our chat Nick thought maybe I did meet Darryl. If I did meet Darryl it would have been here. Is Darryl in any of the pictures from this previous post of your anniversary party that I crashed? Darryl is in a better place now on this Thanks Giving EVE.
Thank GOD for all we have here on earth.
