Can somebody explain why our '92 Breakaway has an on/off switch on the wall for the water heater? the switch is located on the inside hallway next to the water pump, water heater, bath sink access panel about 12" from the floor. What is it's function? We also have a switch on our control panel over the entry door labeled, "water heater".... ------------------ Larry and Heidi from CA Click Here Add this banner to your homepage! The panel switch might be for the electronic ignition for the gas operation of the heater if it's like mine. The electric saves a lot of propane $$$ when you're in a park. ------------------ Eddie Chevalier '85 Barth Regal 28' P-30 454 '91 Honda Accord/'87 Yamaha YSR 50 Toads

Don't turn the switch on if no water in the heater.

It is there as a fail-safe against having the hot water heater on when the water lines are drained, and hence, no water in the heater.
