REGLOVERONAN AIR FILTER ELEMENTS
Hi Guys I need to purchase an air cleaner element for my 5000 watt onan , the price is $37.95 for model 140-0495 element. Sounds like a lot for a small filter. Can you buy a generic anywhere cheaper?
Thanks much, Ralph

Touring BeeWhy not take your old one to NAPA and see if they can match it? If They ask, tell 'em it's of an old Onan 5000w and other than that, you don't know a thing.... NAPA's around here are great for spending time looking up stuff for "dummies"...I know, I are one all the time with them.

DALE SMITHJohn,is that like, TWO WEEKS AGO I COULDN'T SPELL DUMMY, AND NOW I ARE ONE?
Sometimes you can give a supplier to much info, and it scares them off. I too would try just giving the part number, and then let them use their cross-over chart.
Often the mfg uses a ALREADY MADE FILTER thus saving a lot of expense.
I wish you well.

bill hIf you have a number from the filter, Napa's web site will help find a replacement.

REGLOVERTHANKS MUCH GUYS, I found the filters at
"www.funroadsstore.com"onan store. The price was only 13.20 for two. I think the local shop was trying to make a good profit.
Thanks again for all the help. Ralph
