OK, we got sidetracked and ran our mouths and maybe we all know each other a little better now, but this site is dedicated to Barth Motorhomes and those who love them. I propose that if you have anything to add to the previous threads, by all means do so. BUT!! If anybody has anything to say about Barths, I'd sure like to read it.

We don't have a huge mansion here in Eden Prairie, but we have lived in it for some 23 years. I have my Barth parked next to the garage and on the other side there is a wooded area for some distance before the next house...

In this picture I had backed it out to wash it. I had a retaining wall constructued and just paved it with class 5 limestone. So you can see the purple indoor outdoor carpet ahead of it so I could walk out there barefoot.

I have cable out there and it is plugged in to a 20 amp ciruit year around. There is pop in the frig and maybe a bottle of Merlot..My admission is that I love to go sit out there and read or watch TV in the evening. Is this anti-social, is there something "wrong" with me..I love being in my Barth... More than almost...."anything".

I love the bullet proof construction of mine and the fact that it's a custom rig. I cannot imagine ever getting a rig of this quality as my first motorhome.

With this type of quality it is most likely the last motorhome for most. I would love a 40+ foot diesel pusher, air brakes and awnings all the way around with leveling jacks.

Ah, and while I'm dreaming let me add the pony in there to for my little girl...

It is our plan to use our Barth as a home away from home to help others have a new home. Retirement is plannned to be helping to build homes for Habitat in as many states as we can get to. I have appraised thousands of homes and have seen the good the bad and the rats in our society. A family with a home of thier own is teh start of a better life . JKB

We ended up in St. Louis over Labor Day.
We parked in the casino campground on the eastside, and saw another Barth. We didn't get a chance to talk, but again I think most Barths are one-offs, as the other had six lug front wheels(like mine) and ten lug rears.

The wheel covers on the rear are stainless. On the front I have what were known as Boxer Safe Wide Wheel. They fit the the lug patter but are as they sound like they are smaller wider wheels. They are absolutely great when it comes to tracking and ride. I use a 33x12.5R16.5 Dunlop Rover AT. Which I run at 50 psi.

These wheels are made from aluminum and powder coated. These wheels are not made anymore and most coaches I have seen who have them have been Barth's. I do worry, since I do not carry a spare and these tires are not in stock, however, my regular spare will fit the lug pattern and the over all diameter of the tire is similar. The last Boxer wheel which were made were for 16 inch tires which are way more common now. I like the Dunlops because the previous Bridgestones I had were really knobby. These have a much smoother tread. They are Load rate of D. They run smoothly, I just wish I would have left the Rancho spring over shocks on. It is just too mushy with the Bilsteins. I think I will replace the existing 20 year old coil springs with some new ones.

There is a transverse add-on spring made for P30. It is made my a company in central California with a German name. Can't remember it right now, but it worked fine for me on a SOB.
