I just purchased a 1987 Volkswagen Cabriolet and after an aborted attempt to drive it from Ft. Lauderdale to Tennessee, it will arrive this Thursday on a truck. I'm trying to find a forum like Barthmobile, to help me with the project. Wondered if any of you car enthusiasts out there might have some experience with restoring these old VWs and know of a good forum. I've checked some like VW owners club and I guess I'm just spoiled with Barthmobile.

How about the Vintage Volkswagen Club of America...

http://www.vvwca.com/

They seem pretty serious about their air-cooled VW's. Wink

Otherwise I see these listings (some of which you may have already checked)... hard to say which ones may be more useful for your make/model without browsing their individual forums:

www.vwforum.com
www.volkswagenownersclub.com
www.vwclub.org
www.vwocgb.com

...and a couple more for the VW crowd in the UK and New Zealand if interested in those!

Thanks!. Looked at all of them and think 'VWForum' might be the best but still looking at others. One thing for sure, all of these sites have thousands of folks as members. And thousands of posts. Not like our little Barth family.

I have found a forum called 'VWvortex' and it is very complete. It's not Barthmobile, but then, there is no community like ours. Great folks.
