http://www.lowclearances.com/terms.html Came across this software: "Route 1" for an add-on to certain GPS providing info on low clearance for Barth rvs and others. They list many such hazards in USA + Canada... Does anyone have any experience with this?? Did you ever experience a situation where you encountered such a problem?? _________________________ The 82 MCC {by Barth} is not an rv-- it is a Motor Coach!!

I am sure I have found several low clearance places, but they are well marked. All highways are ok, it would be small back roads, the kind I like to drive, that would have an old RR bridge or such. I may find some as the next outing is to the NE for a color tour starting the end of aug for about 2 months. I am thinking on going to Nova Scotia as I have never been 1/2 hour out of sync with the rest of the world and it would be a good bucket list item to cross off... Any New Englanders are welcome to add suggestions. The detailed plan so far includes leaving after Labor Day from New Jersey, go north, come back about Dec 1. I love indian summer, leaf changes, pumpkins, etc so it is a looking for pretty trip. Not much into history, shopping, or flea markets.... Thanks Tom Loughney Barthless....

Tom, you might want to ad this to Community announcements, or Barth Get Together. Your planned trip will get lost in a GPS post. Doug, my GPS has a feature for weight and height restrictions built in the mapping feature. Many better GPS units have a feature for weight and height information restrictions. Mine has speed traps and traffic camera notices also.

Many US highways, not just local roads, in the NE have low clearances. Kevin-- Is you GPS a Rand\Mcnally?? My TomTom GPS world edition doesn't (that I haven't found as yet) On that site they list Michigan and Illinois as the worst states for low clearances! _________________________ The 82 MCC {by Barth} is not an rv-- it is a Motor Coach!!
