WD 40 not as good as home made
I had read an article on acetone and transmission fluid mixture. Transmission fluid with acetone mixture works better to free tight rusty bolts better than commercial products. The acetone evaporates and the oil fills the tight little spaces. I do prefer Justice Brothers 80, or JB80 over WD40. All in all sometimes tight is good other times not so good.

Good stuff!

I have used Kroil for years, I have used the 50/50 mixture of ATF and Acetone and also a 50/50 mixture of ATF and brake fluid with similar results.

No matter what you use, you can not be in a big hurry! Let the stuff do its job!

Interesting info, Kevin.
Another example of how sophisticated posts here tend to be, compared with other RV forums. You wouldn't believe some of the questions and comments I read on the PW owners forum.

After being frustrated with the inability of ATF and acetone to stay mixed, I started using straight ATF, or mixed with a little diesel fuel.

A friend raved about CRC Freeze Off.

Pretty good.

It goes pretty fast, so I use it only when almost-straight ATF has failed.

I am mad at Kroil because when you drop or biff the can, the plastic nipple breaks off, rendering the can useless.
