Hi all, What a great site! Found you while searching for a solution to my leaking HWH leveller kickdown actuator. First about myself and rig. I am a retired heavy earthmoving Mechanic. I took this up in the remote mines of Australia after finishing up as a Seagoing Engineer in the British Merchant marine. I retired when I was 45 and took up a life of full time travelling this magnificent country. My wife and I are now in our 21st year on the road and cant imagine living in a house. We started in trailers, had two of them before deciding to finish our days in a Motorhome. Our motorhome is not a BaRTH but a 1987 36' Foretravel. Hope you wont hold this against me. This was imported from the USA and has been converted to RH Drive and all other requirements of the Australian Road traffic Authorities. I have had it for 7 years now and have been working on it most of that time bringing it back to its former glory. There is always some thing going wrong, as you would know. I have systematically gone through most things and rebuilt them. Getting parts has been a bit of a problem but usually overcome. We free camp most of the time, Boondocking I think you call it. Australia is very safe and plenty of places to stay all over the country. Only 23 million People in a country around the size of the USA, less Alaska. So not to many people out in places. Enough of this about me. Google led me to this site and to a post that Kevin put in about his leveller actuator. I would like to talk to you Kevin if you see this and find out about the seals inside them. I have two rear leaking and have been in touch with HWH and to get them from them, with our current exchange rate, Landed will cost me US$657.00, AU$820.00 So Kevin's US$12.68 sounds good to me. Look forward to participating on this site with you | |||
