Absolutely worth the effort. I've climbed it at least a dozen times and skied Tuckerman's Ravine twice. For a first time up, I recommend the Ammonoosuc Ravine trail which starts at the Cog Railway. If you plan ahead, you could make a reservation to stay at Lake of the Clouds AMC lodge. That's a pretty cool experience in itself!

The ones that get me are the folks who pull into a place, set up their chairs, and open up a bay that has a tv in it. There they are, facing the coach watching tv. They could stay home and do that in their driveway,......and i wouldn't have to listen to it. Big Grin

I recall going to a restaurant in Clark's Summit, PA where you had to BYOB. We always picked up a case of Yuengling for the night. The whole experience was uniquely Pennsylvania.

As to the sudject of this post, we have done those air seals here on double-slide Newells. It is a labor-intensive job to say the least.

The seals and associated "parts" cost us $2,045.85 for two rooms. You use a splice kit to terminate the seal at the bottom of the room on both sides of the slide room ram. This system was HWH with an active rising floor but to my understanding it was also the last year Newell used HWH. I don't know what they use now. BTW, Newell used the same windows as in our Sovereign, a company called Storm Tite, who never returns calls. wack I desperately need some new locks and those teflon slide thingies. Confused
