I have never heard of an RV being built with one, I suspect exhaust brakes or Allison hydraulic
retarders are considerably less expensive solutions.

I'm not sure we should call them retarders on this politically correct website, perhaps "Special Eds?" or "challenged Telmas?" poor Allison...

Sorry I couldn't help myself Razzer

It is politically incorrect to use the term "Politically Incorrect".

Also, using that term ipso facto indicates the user is politically incorrect.

Oh-Oh....... Eeker

A few things about telmas. 1 VERY HEAVY! 2 BIG would you have room up top to keep drive shaft in plain ? 3 Use lots of power = 200 amp alt. 4 Need to install min. of 3 pressure switchs after foot valve to tell it how hard to apply. 5 Need to install on off switch and wireing cant use in slippery conditions with out being tyed into ABS . plus cable and braker to supply unit. Would be great but it seams most are allready close to max weight allready room issues and expence . They are not cheap even used. They do save on brakes but you could do many brake jobs and still not = the cost of the unit and install.
