I have 2 switches on the dash of my 1990 Breakaway that I don't know what they are supposed to do.
The first one is labelled CLNS LTS and it's spring-loaded in the ON position.
The second is labelled AUX START and it's spring-loaded in the OFF position.
Can somebody enlighten me on the purpose of those switches?

Thanks

The CLNS LTS switch flashes the clearence lights to signal all clear when being passed (like some trucks do).

The AUX START switch puts the house batteries on line to start the engine if the chasis battery is down.

Wow thanks Gary , that was fast! HOw do you operate the AUX START switch? DO you hold this spring-loaded switch ON while you turn the ignition key?

One other thing Ray if you haven't found this out yet. Your gas appliances will not work if the gas detector is not engaged.

Yep, you hold it on.

Flashing headlights when a truck has passed with enough clearance to return to your lane is more useful, as rearview mirrors sometimes aren't aimed high enough to see. Flashing the clearance lights when ahead of another vehicle is a "thank you".
