Bill N.Y.The "Barth" of cars
We have owned 4 in the last 13 years. We currently have one. None of these SUV's gave us any real problems. One left for a new one with 0% finance, it was actually cheaper to get a new vehicle then to pay on the older one with finance charges. All left us for a new Suburban. I would not hesitate to recommend a Suburban to anyone.

Please, oh please, don't buy a black one. And never drive while on your cell phone.
That said, I have had several Chevy pickups, and all were good. At work, we had a fleet of Burbs and Tahoes, and all were workhorses. However, they are not sedans. A differant animal.

Dave BowersI am sorry to say that in the last few years we have lean toward Toyota, with several Camrys and now a Sienna with 150K on it, no rust at all..
However, when I was working for other people I had a series of Impalas, and Caprises for company cars... Total luxury for this former AMC Pacer owner.

RustyMy old office manager just traded her S10 quad-cab 4x4 (loaded) for an Equinox - I never thought she'd surrender her pickemups for an SUV. It's a surprisingly roomy and well laid-out machine.
The "new" Impala is much smaller than the old Impala/Caprice. If one stays with Detroit Iron, I'd personally go with the Crown Vic/Grand Marquis. They're just plain sorted out.
