I have a 1998 chevy tracker that I'm setting up to pull behind the Barth,it has the automatic locking hubs. How much of a job is it to change to the manuals?

Thanks Ralph Glover

The Tracker makes a great toad. I have pulled mine for 50,000+ miles without incident. Mine came with manual hubs but I have heard that switching form automatic hubs is a real easy job. I'm sure someone will chime in here who has done it.

Changing the front hubs is a small deal. I did it on my Suzuki Sport Sidekick - a Tracker clone with fancier upholstery.

I don't remember exactly what was involved, but it was a matter of a few minutes, & the manual hubs came with an instruction sheet. I think I got my hubs from J.C. Whitney, but your local parts house should be able to get them too.

Thanks guys for the input. We've been out in the Barth for 4 days, just returned and my manual hubs were waiting for me so I'll give it a go.

Thanks Ralph
