My wife and I have always wanted to attend the Daytona 500. This year we will be able to break away and go, but I have not made any plans what-so-ever. I know there are many NASCAR fans here. I was wondering if anyone has advise or recomendations. I have not decided if I would "Barth it" or drive down in our TDI VW (50 mpg vs 8-9mpg). We live in Northen Virgina, so it is a 1200 mile trip.
