Clocks, why ?
In my shopping for a motorhome I've noticed about 90% of them have a big wall clock somewhere, I've owned 4 in the past, I've never had, or desired a clock in any of mine, when I'm out getting away I'm not on any strict time schedule, I wear a wristwatch, but I ignore that too, my cell adjusts to time zone changes on it's own, much easier on long trips than changing the clock and stereo to the correct time, when the sun comes up and goes down are good enough for me.

You might consider a Day Clock. We have one and it tells us all we need to know. (i.e. what day it is)

I put in a big wall clock.
1] So I can see what time it is without finding my glasses.
2] I no longer wear a wristwatch since we got cell phones.
3] Most of the places we do go in the mountains dont get cell service so we dont know the time.
4] I just think that big clocks are cool. Cool

I think the clocks are put in to make the RV more like a "home" ... as in, all the comforts of home. Plus it's one of those things that have continued since older RV's, like my '94 with a wall clock. Back then there weren't nearly the cell phones that we have now. I had a phone because I worked at an office supply store that sold them and it was "cool" but it was gigantic I almost never used it. I certainly didn't pull it out to check the time, if it even showed that on the display (I can't remember).

I have to agree with Marvin & Doris.

Champ lets us know when it's time to get up and go for a walk plus when it's time to eat breakfast and supper.

The clock is in the motorhome to tell you how close you're getting to the start of the race. Right BillNY?

In my Barth, the speedo goes clockwise at a rate only slightly faster than the clock. So, I probably don't need both, unlike my MINI S. There the speedo goes up rapidly, almost in direct proportion to the gas needle going down. MINI's idea of a clock is a tiny digital thing, unless you have a cabrio, in which case there is a meter showing how long the top has been open.

I have 2. One is to tell time (need to know when Happy Hour starts). The other is a Barth Beer clock.

Ours had a cheap plastic clock on the wall when we bought it. Taking it down was the first step toward making it our own. Hopefully we won't need it for beer time.

Us too Rusty. One Barth Beer and Ale clock, and the other is a clock/barometer combo.

This is my favorite Barth clock. It came with the coach.

There is a Moroccan monkey (with goggles!) riding a snail with reins.
I like to think of it as my Barth theme "racing along at a snail's pace!"
BTW, the clock is permanently stopped just after 5... day's over, quittin' time! cheers

Your Monkey/Snail clock is great !, reminds me of Jimmy Buffet, It's five 0'clock somewhere.
