www.Cat.com in Canada states that all parts need to have a initial 'break in' of 50000 miles and during that time fuel economy continues to improve and that even small factors become important for even better fuel economy!! Given that this statement is correct does that not imply that Barth with 50000 miles should be getting the best fuel economy?? _________________________ The 82 MCC {by Barth} is not an rv-- it is a Motor Coach!! | |||

My AMG (not a Cat, but very well designed and built) had over 50K before it hit its stride. Ive still got 10K to go for my S60 DD then. I'm at 6.75 MPG on the last run across Florida from FT Wilderness CG. Not bad considering I weigh in at 50K #s. To put that in perspective, it would take nearly 16 Kia Sportages to weigh as much as me. I could go 27 miles on 4 gals, it would take them 16 gals to keep up with me.
