Good on the firewood and tractor. I went to google and found some interesting postings about "The Hill Climb" if I had a place to stay I would come up for that.

David used to do motocross on a 3 wheeler and we have had various cycles, atv's, sand rails and dune buggies. We would go out on Friday night and come home on Sunday, starting camping in a 1964 Ford short school bus. Eventually graduated to a 1973 Ford Condor motorhome. Was a member of the Memphis Trail Riders Club (was the only member that had a 4 wheeler). We had such a good time.

Will see you Friday.

I have not road tested 86Barth yet. I had to go north for the annual boat haul. The VW railroad got one more run and the old boat is in the barn.

Assuming I get things OK I will head down that way Friday pm or Sat morning. My friend Drake (Detroit area) is going with me and he has to work Friday till about 3 PM. We may be able to run down Fri night, not sure yet.

Who needs a tractor... I'll have a spare 454 if we need it! Mary Ray, I have lots of good stuff for you. Thumbs Up

I will also bring the stuff I was going to auction at Milford, lots of good Chebby parts to who ever wants 'em. mechanic

I have some fuel system work to do today. Should be road testing by tomorrow. As long as things work well we'll be good for this weekend. (If not, I'll take my truck with the stuff and sleep in a tent!)

Steve, you know I like "stuff". Don't know what I would do without all the nice gifts that I have received from my Barth family.

See ya soon!

Made it thru a long weekend at our clubs 65th annual Hill Climb. Today's weather turned out great. Had a good turnout.

Here a few pics from the river campsite and the car lot emptying out after the climb.

I'm beginning to think someone up there doesn't want me to go...

Raining again today, can't fix the brakes yet. So I decided to take the pickup. Got the 454 loaded, the lifting frames and the VW seats in the truck. Planned on leaving here tomorrow AM. Went to check the tires (1 month old!) and one is low and leaking. When I bought the truck a month ago, I picked up a large nail in left front. 1st flat tire in 20 years. Replaced all four tires, now the right rear is leaking. Removed tire, took to tire place. wack

Got back to a phone call from Mary Ray, she can't make it. Brake and electrical problems with her Barth!

Considering 86Barth is not quite ready and I have no reason to bring the engine, etc I may have to cancel on this trip. head bang

I guess I could drive down in the car.... hmm

It rained here too. Actually the last 3 weeks we drove around in nothing but rain from Phoenix to Vegas to Reno to Carlin thru Missouri to NC. Well actually in Wisconsin it was nice despite the 28 degrees overnite. But it rained up there and back down.
So nobody got the spirit today to fix a leaking valve stem on Beaver and the gas part on the fridge refuses to light. As the weather forecast calls for 55 F on Sat with 50% chance of rain and winds 15-20 mph and a frigid night we decided to cancel too. Plus we might have to head to Georgia to take care of some business on Monday.
Frowner Sorry

I won't be able to make it this time. 86Barth is not quite ready, wife and friend couldn't make it, either.

Mary Ray won't be there, she is also having mechanical issues. Since I wanted to get the engine and parts to her, it would have been convenient but it won't be this weekend.

Given these problems, I will pass this time. Sorry

Craig, so sorry to miss you and Homer, etc again. I was looking forward to the weekend.

Yep, hunting season is upon us but the next project will be the engine in the VW. I have the parts all ready to go. mechanic

As for winterizing, it looks like Rusty will have to put the sweaters back in his coach closets once again.
