I have not seen my dear Barth buddies from Minnesnowta for a while. In addition, I have 2 sisters in the Denver area who are due for a visit. Sounds like a road trip...

Since my favorite way to leave MI is north to the bridge, turn left, I figured a run to Minnesnowta was in the works.

Dana and Kenny j have expressed interest, also Duane. Since Dana's wife works at school through May, we are looking at June some time, maybe second week? (Figured we'd be over winter by then and not too far into the rainy season, skeeters still small, only the size of hummingbirds...) ROTFLMAO

If there is enough interest and some consensus on
date and location, I will post it in the Community Announcements.

It is not too soon to plan a good time with Barth friends next summer.

Have Barth, will travel Tooling Along

In the past we met near Minneapolis. Dana found a nice RV park south of town. Totally negotiable as far as we are concerned. Hope it goes, hope you can make it!

Hoping Wally (Tonka) will be able to do it as well.

Oh boy...!

Mary, you are a long way out indeed. We would love to see you again, but that is a quite a run.

I am flexible as to location. Obviously, Minneapolis area is on my way but if others have suggestions, let it roll. Red Wing is a nice area, also LaCrosse area? Maybe Iowa or Wis? I'll just change the name of the GTG!

Steve, I would be interested making that run. As I mentioned I will be slowing my racing activity to make more time for the fun things! Probably only ding events at Mojave this year.

Steve, perhaps coming around the south end of Lake Michigan for you, we could consider Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and yes even Iowa.

The Mississippi river near Savanna Illinois, Mississippi palisades, lots of nice lakes in south west Michigan and Indiana. Iowa city and the quad cites have cool campgrounds too! South Minnesnowto has many places too.

Hi everyone,

We're up for a GTG in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi or South Dakota in June.

We don't get Tonka out of her winter quarters until after local spring road/street restrictions expire typically on May 1. We got a really late start last year and by the time we got ourselves into gear the water was literally rising in West Memphis.

So far we've attended Minnesota GTG's at Morristown, and Treasure Island Casino.

If interested let us know how many want to attend we'll look into suitable sites for a GTG in Minnesota, Wisconsin or eastern South Dakota.

Last fall we found a wonderful recreation area on the Missouri in southeastern SD that we think is terrific (perfect for Tonka as the campsites have only power). Water for filling tanks is available at scattered locations throughout the park and the park has two large dumping stations.

Thanks, Cool
Wally

There is a nice Campground at Springfield more to the west in Minnesnowta. I hate recommending a place I know nothing about. I do know the one in Springfield is in a small town on the Cottonwood River. After next week I hope to have time to do some more checking. With the sale of My employment to another entity I have been crazy busy trying to stay ahead. Hope to be able to do some ciphering and contacting. Kenny met me this fall at the place in Morristown. To bad I couldn't be there with the crew because of work

I am not trying to steal the Minnesota idea away. Wally did mention Indiana. This is an even number year. There was in the past Barthmobiles invading, Elkhart on the even number years. When I was there in 2014 there were maybe 30 Barthmobiles in attendance. Any member interested in an Elkhart get together, start a new topic with some date suggestions.

Of course! We encourage Barth admirers! Especially BUYERS! ROTFLMAO

I guess we have two things to nail down right away, date and location.

We should decide on weekend or midweek then pick specific dates. I could see the 2nd weekend of June assuming sites are available.

Speaking of sites: location, location. We did the casino at Red Wing, just a parking lot really but things to do. Also Maiden Rock RV park near Morristown, nice park. Suggestions are welcomed. Lets do this thing! cheers

I have no problems with a Milford GTG but I'm heading for Denver early June one way or another.
