Sounds like a great time! cheers Sorry I missed it this year. It rained here all week. 50's and drizzle today. No summer yet.

It sounds like most made it home safely. Ed arrived here on Saturday. We had a good time visiting and it was great considering I missed the GTG. Ed left this morning heading south to visit his brother in SE Michigan. He is surely the original Barth Nomad. Always good to see him.

Soon I will get the ujoints replaced in the driveshaft. While there, I will have the main seal on the transmission replaced and get the transmission fluid and filters changed. That should put the coach back 100% road ready.

Have Barth, will travel, usually Tooling Along

Well timing is everything. Good thing we went earlier. Campground and pool are closed due to flooding of the cottonwood river.

Just keeps on raining. Last year I had to water trees every week. Mother Nature does what she wants when she wants.

Dana is sending that rain down to us as usual!! The Mississippi is really high for this time of year, not in flood just high.

2”+ of rain per day is to much. Lynn added it up since the GTG we have had 12+ inches. 2-30” Ash have gone down in the yard. 3 guys and 75ft lift 5 hours saved my shed and Coach. 2 more boxelders went down across/in my creek and vines raised garden.

Water is percolating up through the cracks in the basement floor. Only once before have we had water in the basement. That time we had 13 inches in one night. I never understood where the water came from. Now I know because I kept checking as we got 6+” this week! We just swept to drain. We have no problem until the water table tries to float the house.

The raised level of this country’s main drain (Mississippi)for the United States as it passes through Iowa just not on my list of issues.

Wow this was a downer post. On the bright side I have not had to water my 66 trees.

Campground with "Da Coach", Duane88, and Dana high and dry at the GTG. Well, the coaches were dry anyway!

Yesterday the Corps began closing the gates of L&D 26 and today they are closed, by the time the Duane water reaches us he may be in flood from your donation. The river stage charts used to show minor and, major flood levels my guess is that the upstream levels will be moderated by increasing width and depth so those of us downstream will be annoyed but not inundated, however I do have the additional input of the Illinois River.
Today along with high water and high winds there was a boat race qualifying event about 2 miles downriver from my harbor.
