Hi all, Steve VW sent me a PM expressing regrets that we did not make the Black Hills GTG. I thought that I had sent a post explaining that Karen & I had a last minute personal issue that prevented us from attending the GTG. However when I look back a my postings I can't find the post so I must have messed up. We mere very sorry that we could not make it, particularly after seeing Steve's great photos. We look forward to making a future GTG and meeting many of you fine Barthers. Cheers, Mike & Karen "Keep On Truckin" 94 30' Breakaway #3866 5.9 cummins on spartan chassis

It was a great time with good people. Even got to see Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and the Custer National Forrest with an ample supply of buffalo right outside the door. (Pictures soon.) Now it's on to Little Bighorn and Northern Montana to see more good friends. After that, Seattle and then down to southern Cal. I'll monitor the site to see if we can at least wave to Ed as he goes by.

We had a great time! Left Fri AM after the hailstorm, drove to Denver to see my sisters. 93 degrees just in time for Fri rush hour. (Took an hour for the last 25 miles...) 1621 miles this trip so far on 1 qt oil. Fuel injection ran well, so far 6320 ft the highest point. Here are a few more Barth photos: Lou and Barb: newbies: Kenny Jorgenson Steve Griffin (sweet toaster!) Wow, other than the mention of hail, it looks like everyone had good travels, a chance to make wonderful new friendships and to enjoy a really great time! Excellent photos! My project crunch is finally over (mostly) and I can start to take care of everything thats been on hold. We'll just keep on keepin' on and go for the next one. Wally

We got home Monday afternoon, no issues with the Barth for the whole trip. 2000+ miles, a quart of oil. Tried to stay ahead of a storm front Monday morning early but caught the edge of it before breaking out. Enough of the hail already! 4 or 5 days in Nebraska/South Dakota area with some hail, mostly pea-size, but saw some up to ping-pong balls. We really enjoyed meeting our fellow Barthmobilers at Custers Gulch and look forward to next time. MAKE PLANS NOW FOR THE BRANSON, MISSOURI GTG IN SEPTEMBER!!! I see Lou is still dreaming about the gallons of Hudsonville Ice Cream that he will be bring to Milford 2014 GTG. But save some room for the Shermans Ice Cream from South Haven. All who wander are not lost. JKB 88 28' Regal 454 Blue/Silver metalflake
