I hear that on Sat.6/16 there is a local running of the Soap Box Derby also on the Fair grounds. I would think that we may need the grass field to the south for guest parking. Hope the Derby is on the Race track to the east.

Couple questions

Are we planning any pot-luck dinner night? Do we need to submit what our contribution might be so we all don't cover the same course?

Any other activities we are planning besides a Swap meet and Auction to benefit Barthmobile.

I should be rolling in around mid morning on Tuesday the 12th.

Last time, the potluck dinner was the Saturday meal for the guests. A lot of folks did snacks and hors d'oeuvres.

I plan to make some fried pickles and shrimp (if the local harvest is decent).

The time is finally here. Leaving for Milford in the morning. Gonna take about a week to get there because of a small 700 mile detour through PA to visit the new grand-baby.

I have a crappy cottage on a very nice lake 30 miles away in Michigan. Maybe a pontoon boat ride can be arranged.

Sorry, I apparently missed the request for ETAs. Debbie and I are planning for midday on the 11th. 'Course that's a Barth Travel Estimate...plus 10% to 20% is normal; minus never happens. Leaving tomorrow A.M. (Wed 6/6) with a layup for a few days in the Smokies.

Lou...Debbie says we can handle at least three half gallons for you. Only problem is our freezer can only hold one or two. Don't know what her plan for the rest is, but I never saw such a large container of Hershey's Syrup in my life!

Looking forward to

Hank and Debbie

Not a problem Hank; I made no request for ETAs, just harvested the ones that folks had posted.

We are leaving N.J. on Wednesday, 6/13 around 5:00pm. Tooling Along We hope to get to western Pa. via the PA. Turnpike that night where we will pull over and get some Sleeping We will be traveling Tooling Along the rest of the way on 6/14, mostly via I-80, to arrive at the fair grounds hopefully late afternoon. If anybody else is heading out to Milford via the PA. Turnpike on 6/13 or I-80 on 6/14, drop me a PM and we can try to hook up for the run in to the fair grounds.
Any other dinner plans I missed except for the BBQ on Saturday? Roll Eyes Not a problem, just inquiring minds want to know...
And speaking of the Saturday gathering, is there anything we need to bring? We are still planning on trying to stock up the Barth with as much fresh Jersey produce as possible that will not go bad thru the weekend. hmm Just missed strawberry season though Frowner....
And I will have a couple of hand picked NJ wines with me for the wine tasting get together. Are we going to do like we did in D.C. and do the "open house Barth viewing/wine tasting" event on Friday night? Thumbs Up
Looking forward to meeting a lot of new folks and seeing others we have not seen since the DC GTG. cheers

When you get off of I-80 (if coming from the east) , please watch out for horse and buggies, the Amish use most of the roads in the area. The trip thru the area is worth the view of the well kept farms. All who wander are not lost. Tooling Along
