Helen & I are scheduled to be @ Tiffin Motorhomes in Red Bay, AL the last week of April. This afternoon we bought tickets for Sat & Sun @ 'Dega. We aren't sure whether to camp in the free area or reserved area. Any suggestions?

I already responded to billy by PM but I'l put a little in here too. We stay in Family Park Sec. A outside turn 2. It's 85 bucks for the weekend, so if you stay Friday Saturday & Sunday nights it's less than 30 bucks a night to have a reserved nice site. Well worth it. West Park A & B are nice, but can get a little rowdier late at night. The more expensive sites don't really offer much more, just closer to the gate and a bunch of Prevost snobs locked in their coaches all weekend.
Here's our site.

Danny,
Thanks for the help. All of the Family parks sold out a couple of weeks ago so they put us in West A East, site 411 for $75. Looking forward to it.

You will be closer to the on-site vendors and the across the highway vendors, and still close to the gates and your seats, so all is good. When you walk up to the back of the grandstands, look to the right of center for the big stairway. That's you.

The weather is still looking ominous for saturday. That Bama clay turns to axle grease when wet, as I'm sure you know. WestPark is somewhat higher than Family so hopefully you'll be OK. Sunday is looking pretty good. Have a good time and stay dry and safe.

Looks pretty bad up there for today. Everything is cancelled and they have severe warnings and tornado watches. Tomorrow is supposed to be better, hope so for everyone up there. Billy, if you can, let us know what's going on.

Hey Billy, did you make the race? I know saturday was terrible but Sunday looked pretty nice. Just wondering how everything was up there.
