Been doing a little work on the 'Toaster'... Put in a new Coleman 13.5 AC unit... Might try to get a new fridge in there... Testing all the systems. I'm thinking this poor ol' boy hasn't been used in forever. Lots of little leaks in both gas and water.Going to throw six new LT235/85R16 E 10-plys on him, too, just because the ones the PO has on there are 15 years old. Roll Eyes

Regardless, whatever is done, I'll be chugging up Interstate 75 in Ohio next Thursday night as the boy and I take 'Toaster' on his inaugural roadtrip - towing a Jeep to Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan. We'll be staying at Sandy Shores Campground with a bunch of other Jeepers. So keep an eye out for us - either on the road or next to it. Tooling Along

Don, hope you and the boy have a fun but safe trip and don't get stranded on the side of the road.

Don,

We just got back from camping at Silver Lake we stayed at the Jellystone park just before the roundabout. Love it up there, we are going back with our Jeep next trip. We just stayed to camp, we were pretty much the only campers without a toy of some kind. Well not next time, we'll be pulling the Jeep Wrangler.

Have you been there before?

Yes... It's big annual thing for Jeep Scrambler owners. They'll get 15 or so together this same weekend every year. Some go up for the week, some just the weekend. It's a lot of fun!

Nice Picture, sounds like a lot of fun indeed! Best of luck on your maiden voyage, don't burn too much rubber off those new tires.

Let us know how it went, CHEERS!

Silver Lake used to be a holiday destination for a bunch of us biker types back in the 70's. We had some private property on the dirt road that goes out to the lighthouse. Always a good time.
